Meeting Lysa TerKeurst at Haven Place

They say a picture is worth a thousand words, and I’m sure I’m not the only one who has found this to be true. But today, this photo speaks volumes to me—most of them written by Lysa TerKeurst, a beautifully brave, genuine, and humble vessel who continues to pour into women like me with her words of hard-earned wisdom gleaned as she has journeyed with Jesus through some dark, devastating valleys. Over the past seven years, God has graciously put her words into my hands precisely when I needed to hear them. Time and time again, Lysa’s words have reminded me that God sees me, understands my pain and questions, and provides hope-filled testimonies like hers to help me take that next step with Him in my own valley.

The rest of the story is what God is leading me to do with my words… but that’s a story for another day. Right now, I’m overwhelmed with gratitude and appreciation for this day spent with Lysa and the COMPEL Training team, who graciously poured into a roomful of writers all day until our cups overflowed. Thank you for your obedience, generosity, and servant hearts! And this is just the beginning… She Speaks 2023 officially starts tomorrow! I’m ready.
